Meteor FTSE Income Deposit Plan 3

  • The FTSE Income Deposit Plan 2 (the “Plan”) is a six year two week structured deposit.

  • The Plan provides a potential 1.4% quarterly or a 7% annual income payment dependent on the performance of the FTSE 100 Index (the “Index”) and is not guaranteed.

  • If the Level of the Index closes below 4,250 or above 7,250 on any business day during an Observation Period, no income payment will be made for that particular period.

  • The return of your original investment is not dependent on the performance of the Index. Capital will be returned in full at maturity, subject to counterparty risk.

  • You could lose some or all of your money in the event that The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (“RBS”) fails to make the payments due from the Plan.

  • Direct Investments and cash ISAs invested in the Plan are placed on deposit with RBS and it is our understanding that if RBS was unable to pay the amounts due, an investor may have recourse to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

  • Available until 9th November 2011

Target Market

  • understand and are used to equity based investments, and

  • are able to invest for a period of up to six years, and

  • are looking for a capital protected investment (subject to counterparty risk) with the potential for a higher income payment than would be available via a standard deposit account

Key Risks

  • RBS, the counterparty, could collapse or fail to make the payments due from the Plan. If this happened investors could lose some or all of their original investment as well as any returns from the Plan

  • The investment return depends on the performance of the Index which can go down as well as up

  • Full details of the investment are set out in the FTSE Income Deposit Plan 3 brochure, which incorporates the Terms and Conditions. All potential investors should read the literature carefully and make sure they understand how the Plan works
