TIM ROBERTS, chief EXECUTIVE officer
Tim Roberts became Chief Executive of Catalyst in 2006. He has been an integral force in the international expansion of the company and in carving out its leading position within life settlement backed products, acting as a principal architect of ARM investments. Tim has over 30 years commercial experience, ranging across all areas of corporate finance - including mergers and acquisitions, flotations, and fund raisings - as well as wider industry. He has staged a number of company restructures for small and medium sized business having acted as CEO for businesses across the engineering, shipping, internet and telecoms sectors. Tim was educated in Management and Finance at Oriel College, Oxford, and Queens’ College, Cambridge.
BRIAN RAYMENT, CHIEF operating officer
Appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2008, Brian Rayment is responsible for implementing corporate strategy, overseeing the smooth running of company operations, and taking responsibility for all financial targets. Brian brings to the role considerable experience and insight into the retail investment sector, having previously run his own Independent Financial Adviser firm and taken a management role within the stockbroking industry. Brian has also served as a commissioned officer in the Royal Anglian Regiment, during which time he progressed to the position of Captain.
LORD RAZZALL OF MORTLAKE, CBE, NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
After leaving Oxford University, Lord Razzall qualified as a solicitor in 1969 and worked for Frere Cholmeley (later Frere Cholmeley Bischoff), becoming partner in 1973 and Chief Executive in 1990. He subsequently left the firm to establish his own business in 1995. Lord Razzall has also enjoyed a distinguished political career. In 1974, he was elected to represent Mortlake (London Borough of Richmond upon Thames), retaining his seat for 24 years and chairing the council's Policy and Resources Committee for 13 years. In 1986, he became joint Treasurer of the Liberal Party and then the newly-merged Liberal Democrats in 1988. Lord Razzall received a CBE in 1993 and was created a life peer in 1997. He chaired the Liberal Democrats' Campaigns and Communications Committee from 2000 until 2006.
MAJOR GENERAL TIM TOYNE SEWELL DL, NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Tim Toyne Sewell was educated at Bedford School and Sandhurst, spending 34 years in the Army, with a final appointment of Commandant of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. He became Director of Goodenough College, London, and the Chairman of the International Board of United World Colleges upon retirement. He is the Founding Chairman of London’s Benjamin Britten International Violin Competition and Chairman of the Kyiv Festival in Ukraine. From 1996-2006, he served on the Council of Queen Mary, University of London. Additionally, he has served as Chairman of the executive committee of Disability Sport England from 1999-2000. He was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London in 1999 and granted Freedom of City in 2006.
